The 30-06 Assault Rifle (Or Browning Automatic Rifle) is the second weapon found in Jurassic: the Hunted.

It acts as the game's primary automatic weapon, and it's one of the more common weapons found in the game.

This weapon shares its construction and appearance with the Browning Automatic Rifle of World War II fame. It features a silver, metal frame, with a wooden grip and stock, complete with circular ironsights.

The weapon's size is large, compared to the likes of the .45 Caliber Pistol, and it's quite obstructive on the screen, as in the ironsights, and barrel can take up more of the screen, compared to the .45, which only takes up a little bit of the screen.

This weapon is first found in "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot", in a small clearing, shortly before a Vortex storm sends Velociraptors at the player.

It is entirely automatic, and as such, can be considered a very effective weapon for spraying, which is an easy strategy to pull off with this weapon. The reticle is small, and doesn't have much spread when the trigger is held down, making aiming down the sights or spraying both effective strategies.

Lastly, the reload time is very fast, is the animation simply involves slapping a fresh magazine in, resulting in a 1-2 second reload time, which could easily determine your life, or your death.

Overall, the weapon is average, but it will eventually be outclassed to weapons like the Shotgun, or the 5.56 Assault Rifle, which are both found later on in the game.
